Vision

Beyond Medicine

Dr. Sene believes that a thorough rehabilitation assessment, encompassing not only physical symptoms but also emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of an individual’s life, is essential for devising a comprehensive care plan tailored specifically to the person’s needs. She asserts that the input of an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary care contributes to better outcomes for patients with complex needs.

Dr. Sene strives to enhance patients’ quality of life by addressing their specific needs. Patients and their families or support persons are encouraged to actively engage in their care, establish goals, and make informed treatment decisions. She advocates that providing culturally appropriate care for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander patients, as well as for patients from diverse cultural backgrounds, should be a fundamental aspect of all care and treatment practices.
